Peninsula Alloy - Fort Erie’s Newest Industrial Business
Having acquired the abandoned foundry at 3600 Eagle Street in Stevensville for tax arrears, the Town of Fort Erie and the Fort Erie Economic Development & Tourism Corporation launched a national tender call for the purchase of the property. The successful bidder, Mr. Roger Heise, quickly cleaned up the site, undertook major restorative efforts, and has since created a successful business employing some 52 people in Fort Erie. The success of Peninsula Alloy in Stevensville is another great example of how the Town has turned a brownfield liability into a valuable partnership with a successful entrepreneur. |
