FORT ERIE´S STEVENSVILLE INDUSTRIAL PARK WELCOMES TRUK-KING
Fort Erie, Ontario, June 30, 2005 - Fort Erie Mayor Wayne Redekop today welcomed Truk-King at the opening of its new terminal in the Stevensville Industrial Park. “The addition of this professional and well established professional trucking operation in Fort Erie,” stated the Mayor, “is extremely important not only because of the services that the terminal will provide but also because it reinforces Fort Erie’s critical role in cross-border commerce for the Region, Ontario and the northeastern United States”.
Truk-King is the dry freight division of Zavcor Trucking Limited. Zavcor started operations in 1990 with its refrigeration division, operated by Co-Owners Kirk Zavitz, Terry Gilmore and Rob Kranyak. In 1996 the Company opened Truk-King. Two years later, Richard Bacon re-united with Zavcor management and took over managing the Truk-King Division and also shares as co-owner of the Company.
“We support over 50 professional, career-oriented drivers,” explained Richard Bacon. “The operation is staffed with reliable and dedicated employees. This has lead to Truk-King’s success”.
“Truk-King has established a solid core of responsible customers who recognize the need for quality transportation and therefore focuses on moving freight between Southern Ontario and the North Eastern seaboard of the USA,” stated Mr. Bacon. “Now established in Fort Erie’s Stevensville Industrial Park and with close proximity to the international borders, Truk-King intends to expand its customer base.”
